Too Much Reading Was Never A Problem

The moment you start reading a lot, is the moment you start to be afraid of yourself. You read books about controlling emotions, books about living in the moment and books to accept who you are as you are and so forth. By time you notice yourself practicing skills you never thought you would, you see yourself very dedicated to ensure healthy thinking and not rushing through what might happen in the future because no one knows what is going to happen. You notice yourself puling yourself back to today, when you notice being afraid and emotional about things that will happen tomorrow, you remember that whatever you're feeling right now, whether you feel like crying or anxious, is eventually forced on yourself by yourself. You shiver to the thought of harming yourself, but you happen to be the one doing so with your thinking. Keep it to the day when it comes to calm yourself, but then what happens when that day has come? You can't help but give in to reality and accept your reactions and the harshness of life, somethings are always against our wills, there is nothing we can possibly do about them but respect the flow of time and that only time will heal.

Little did I know that I would be the one practicing all that, and eventually respecting that only time will heal, will it though?

Yes, it will because you feel it will and because you believe it will. The day where you look back at your current self will come and you will feel proud of how you mastered the strength to accept reality and move on.

Appreciating the journey to where ever it plans to take me.

An act of discourage..?

0

As human beings, when we're surrounded by people that are older than ourselves, people that are more experienced and more skilled than ourselves we tend to forget that they are just like us. They face ups and downs in their lives, they always do. Being older and more experienced does not take humanity out of the context because in the end of the day, they still have that little human instinct that makes them nervous and hesitant at some point.

Earlier today, a group of people had to pitch in their innovative ideas and gain the judges trust and appeal. The hall was filled with people with different passions, different ideas, different goals and levels. There were employees, professors and students. However, in that room, everyone had that goal of wanting to be "it". Personally speaking, our group had no intention of really being "it", we were too busy trying to comprehend how we made it this far and its quite astonishing to this instant. The only reason we decided to go with this weekend's program is to continue what we started and see where we go from there. Luckily, it was one of those grand experiences that you do not get to experience everyday. The best part of it, we were presenting in front of different groups of people, with different backgrounds and different perspectives.

The one thing that got me worked up after our pitch presentation was that one of the professors was devastated and already pessimistic. Man, that was not the idea. You're supposed to stand strong regardless of what your pitching in front of the panel, well at least have that solid confidence that you made it this far so that's more than enough . Looking at the bright side, you actually made it to this level, so personally speaking that's quite impressive, but for you to fall weak and suddenly discourage yourself right before pitching, that wasn't the best approach.

The biggest shock of the day is that person making it through to the top x people, that got us thinking maybe the entire "discourage" act was maybe a game? Nah, it was serious and it was sincere so there was no act in it all.

Poor man though, he got himself worked out for nothing.

Bless you have a little more faith. :')

The nice person she always was

0

"Life is filled with ups and downs, regardless of how happy, or how sad you currently are. That is why you should always be thankful to God - Just keep that in mind" Echo Bliss

It has always been like this for her but she never took it to heart. She thought she was doing good because that's how she was raised and that was how she really was...by god's nature..she was just like that. The good thing about it is that she actually accepted herself because she was who she was.

How can a person live happily ever after if he/she is not very satisfied with who he/she is? That's just a waste of time to live like that isn't it? For her it was not a waste of time because she always accepted herself, but what she detested the most was being taken advantage of.

That was a human trait that hurt most of them, especially her.

Why would they do that..she would think to herself.

Was it really worth the time...she would regret.

Eventually it was time for her to put an end to it because nothing lasts forever. She knew she'd hear hurtful statements but she didn't care. It was just like the having the words come through an ear and leave the other with no impact whatsoever because she was living to satisfy herself and not satisfy them. They have themselves to satisfy she was held responsible about herself and no one else.

That is how..she finally decided to live and the people that really care will understand and support her to be who she really is.

Blessed.
