Acceptance, Difference, and Change

0

There's a universal fact that makes us similar, and a universal thought that makes us different in a sense that's quite impressive. Us, humans or people which ever you prefer to use, are descendants of the same parents, yet we come in different colours and different places with different beliefs. Believe it or not, our beliefs are what's making us different. Imagine going on a trip around the world, the best part of that journey will be you experiencing different cultures, seeing different places and exploring different beliefs. Wanting to know what other people's beliefs are is out of respect for them because you would want to know what is alright and what is not in terms of clothing's, gestures and so forth.

Regardless of us being different individuals in many aspects, we still have that one point that makes most of us similar, we care about one another. Not in any weird or odd point that is, we're considering the relative aspect of "caring" and that is when your parents point out a con you should maybe try and work on changing, or a beautiful trait you should work on keeping and developing. As humans, it is of our very natural feelings to like someone saying good phrases about us, it's how we are, we simply like being praised, like being in the spotlight every once in a while. On the contrary, we do not really like being told that something we do is not really polite and in better terms, not right. That is where you should pay very good attention because not everyone is going to do that to you, though everyone is going to praise you even with the slightest gesture you do. It is the people that do not praise you and point out that there's something you should work on changing are the ones that you should keep close and respect that most because they are the ones that care.

When it comes to being pointed out, you fall into deep thoughts of conflict, "how can that be disrespectful?" or thinking something like "but what did I do wrong?". Well this is where others come into the picture, it was proven that people by nature see themselves as semi-perfect people and everything they do is right and fits the picture, they also happen to consider others that do not think like them and do not agree to what they have to say as being "aliens" for a better example. Well, that's basically the reason we're different. The people that care the most about you are the ones that are going to tell you about that one thing you should maybe try and not do, or maybe try to avoid saying to others, although you find absolutely no problem with but others actually help you point out the flaws that will make you a better person. Maybe you should work on changing the way you react to things, that could sound odd but maybe you're reacting in a way that makes it look like a war just broke out, and that implies "overreacting" in a sense. Maybe you should work on becoming a better listener to other and not just want to be the one talking and force others to listen to you. You see if you look at it from all perspectives, you are not perfect in any sense, as a matter of fact none of us as perfect, ever. But that does not mean we do not work on making ourselves better people. Every single day that passes by is never coming back, it's another chance from God to make yourself change into becoming better, into living better, and most importantly into appreciating the people that helped you fixing your flaws in some sense, it might hurt at first, but do bare this in mind once and for all, it's for your own good.

Those who want to change are really those that are living in satisfaction and pleasure, because they are not sticking to that same old boring self they are ever single day with no "updates" in any sense, they're the ones running this world.

A time out

0

It's by human nature to want to be around others. However, sometimes there's no control over that. Although it is indeed a natural trait,  us humans tend to discard it for sometime. Remember how they always say : "You take what's good and throw away what's not?" Well, we are not throwing anything here, as a matter of fact we are only putting it aside for sometime. It was scientifically proven that, in order to think right, and do well, us humans should give ourselves a break and just sit in silence for a while. As the silence takes over we get to dive into our inner selves and discover an ultimate timed escape that actually makes a lot of difference. We have to do that every once in a while in order to get back on our feet and move on.

It's Spring time

0

Just as the title implies, it's Spring and not as in the season but as in the semester. Spring 2014.

Before starting off on how the very first day of this semester was I've got to make a few little point outs. First of all, back here Winter was really late, and it's already mid-February and boy it's really cold. However, the cold back here is like torture. Let me emphasize on that point, when I said " torture" I really meant it. Last year, I've been to Korea and it was Winter time. The streets were covered in white and the breeze was really cold, but to my surprise I loved the weather. It was perfect and pleasant to my skin. The Koreans wore thick coats and were literally covered from head - to - toe, while I on the other hand, had my normal long-sleeved outfits with a knee-length coat on. It was pretty nice to be honest despite being -17 degrees. Maybe because I was not used to such cold weather, but it was kind of funny for me to quickly adapt to it considering the fact that I'm a person that gets really cold really fast. Anyways back to the Equator countries like the UAE, cold is torture like I previously mentioned, I mean it's only 16 degrees but I feel dead from the inside out, literally. It's so painful to my bones I feel they would shatter from it. It's quite ironic really, but bearable. The only thing we accept and have no saying in is the weather.

Moving to my first day of this promising semester. First of, to be personal satisfaction I finally started in my beloved major/track. Words can't express how excited I am about that although it might sound very weird to talk about but I love what I have for a track. It's a track I've loved before getting to know it really. This is where " Happiness and Satisfaction is the key " works yet I'm not quite sure that is a saying but I hope you got the point. If a person is really happy and satisfied about what they do then there's no doubt it's going to be a piece of cake. That I know for a fact because I've experienced it. So I'm really glad about that.

I'll have to contain my content and satisfaction about my first day and move to what incidents highlighted it. For a start, there's no doubt challenge is everywhere. However, if you're planning on challenge or even 'war' then I do not think that's the right choice.

Let me explain:

Here's the scenario. As usual I was the only student from my college ( I plan on keeping it to myself ). It didn't seem surprising to me at all considering I did not recognize a single face from the 60 students surrounding me except for my best friend. She was the one reason I signed up for that class and more or less we were up for it together so that wasn't a problem at all. Like always the professor liked that fact that I was from my college because not a lot of students from it sign up for such classes. I did so because I wanted to take interesting free electives and diversify my knowledge.

"So I heard from your previous deans that students from your college are really smart"

That wasn't excpected but yes we are smart ..I guess?

The other girls did not seem to like that comment and were like " Sir, students from our college are smart and only them" Okay I did not want to misjudge her but there's no need for challenge. I mean the professors point was to know more and back up what he heard, there was nothing wrong with that right? I mean I deserved a little attention considering the fact that I was unofficially an " outsider "? If that's the right term to use. Anyways that's not the case what I want to point out is, although we come from different cities and have different interests, that does not mean we should battle it out. There's no need for that.

If you felt the challenge, you can apparently point it out in a better mannered way and not disgust. No one said other colleges were not qualified, we're just talking about them in general. If an alien was in that class and the professor found that interesting and surprising, he would basically spend the entire hour trying to get answers for his questions right?

Just let it pass..just let it pass : what I always say to keep it calm.

It disappoints me to see how people turn out to be. I mean there's no harm in showing your bright side and keep the dirty one to yourself, right?

Nutshell : The first day was promising, although the heat did not help at all but it's going to be  a thrilling ride. And that I know for sure .

Winter Break kick-off

0

Working out my way through my career is what I planned to do.

My goal was pretty clear, that's why everything goes smoothly.

I never thought I would have a path, it was always nonsense back in the days. Now that I'm living it, it actually makes a lot of sense. As a high school student, teachers always said : You should have a goal, you should make a choice and all that. It was a challenge at first, but then it became really boring.

High school was the first step, now, what I'm doing is walking through the second step. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. I've always thought High school was a nightmare, it really was. In the end it was ALL worth it, and I know once this second step is built, it is going to be even triple the worth.

Hanging in there, is the solution. You are not the only one going through this. You're like one in a trillion in this world. If they can bare with it, it should not be a problem for you right?

Happy Winter break! ;D

It's time to give it a real break, just what I needed =)
