When there is nothing you can do but listen

0

As you grow up, and start to grasp your surroundings  and the events that unleash in front of you, you start to appreciate the beauty of being a child. The innocence and ignorance and the unconditional love and joy you used to spread all over the place. When you look at your siblings now, and where they have decided to proceed in life, you start to sit back and just watch. Sometimes you wonder "Why did they become like this, this isn't right." then you start to question "What did she do to deserve this miserable life." but then with this second thought in mind you come to learn that it is meant to be for her like this, for her future is going to be bright and she will not suffer anymore.

I have to admit that this is quite difficult to experience, yet again it is a wonderful feeling. Although there is nothing you can do to change the situation, the idea that you are actually there for them, simply just to hear them out and let them talk all they want is a blessing. In return you do want to make it better, but you have to tell them it's okay, it's going to be okay you just have to wait a little more. It's hard to do, but makes that sensation rush over you that you have done a difference, you have patted their back and made them know they're not alone.

It will get better, but it's going to take some time.

It will change, but it's going to take some effort and time.

It will make her happy, but it's going to take some effort, effort, and more time.

In the end it requires strength, and the strength god have given you has put you in these situation because god knows you're fit enough to handle it all.

Be patient, and a little stronger...it will get better...nothing lasts forever.

Speaking up

0

I wanted to write this yesterday but didn't find the time to do so because of my Database exercises. Anyways, not interesting for you guys but thought I had to point it out.

Yesterday was actually one of those day with the good and bad incidents contradicting each other, but the best part is that the good wrapped up my day and the bad actually kicked it off.

I'm not a morning coffee type of person, but every once in a while a cup of coffee in the morning isn't so bad. So I usually get it from a near coffee shop with actually good coffee..well at least they had the best coffee on campus until I tried out Dr.Vending and he took the lead. So the thing is the cup of coffee costs 15 , the small one to be accurate and that's the one I usually go for. Out of the blue, for two days in a row the prices went up crazily and down again where it costed 22 and 21 respectively ( I feel like I'm writing a technical report somehow). I was kind of taken back and started to doubt my memory. But then another day, the price went back to 15...until yesterday where it rose to 17..I mean what is going on in this place? All the extra coins I had to pay should actually go to charity because what bothered me was the fact that they were lying straight to my face and I did not feel good about it. What got me really angry was the fact that I doubted myself to the point where I couldn't even argue ..I  mean how can that possibly happen? That's not who I really am and that explains my feelings of anger and disappointment actually.

I wanted to drop the thought, but couldn't really because I usually do not like to see wrong an just not argue or at least talk about it to know why this was happening. So this morning, although I did not want to risk the morning coffee again because it does not taste that good anymore, I went and asked for the same order and he said it was 17 again. I clearly repeated my order and asked for the small cup and he was like we do not have it and I finally got my chance! I told him he should at least tell me so that I know and not rip me off, god it only takes a few seconds to do so .

Anyways the good part of my day was the fact that I successfully completed my presentation and it went really well and I'm super happy about that! Thank god really, speaking in public was always me thing and I figured that out through a lot of events, anyways it was really good and I felt like the professor and my classmates enjoyed it very much so that's about it!

Cheers
