It's finally that time of the year where flowers bloom and garden flourish with rainbow colours. Well, in most countries that's the case, back here it's still kind of windy - chilly and kind of beautiful considering the fact it's the end of March.
Anyways, our Spring break finally kicked off this week and it's going to last for another week, very exciting because it's just what we needed. The best part of this year's Spring break is that I won't have to worry about any midterm material for after the break because 3 of my 4 course midterms were due before the spring break , so this keeps me with a lot of time to work on my projects, and of-course to read and carry on with my crochet projects. I'm really in need of this because for the past weeks before my midterms begin, I got too hooked up with my Senior project and France competition, I literally did not have proper quality time to spend with my family nor with my skills and hobbies, so that's why the Spring Break is the love of my life right now. First of all, it's the last break before the end of the Semester, and it's basically the only time I won't have to think of studying and stacked up course materials.
As I write this post, I'm reminiscing on the time I spent at the beach and all the good moments I had over the past 4 days. Literally, 4 days of my Spring Break marked some of the best of my life. The weather was amazing, it even rained at night while my mother and I sat by the beach at night. Nothing like your typical Spring afternoon nor day, if only words could describe the feelings and the scenes or if cameras were able to capture the waters scent and the cool breeze then I could possibly share it with you guys.
Good moments and the bad...hmm or shall I say the perfect moments because there were not really any bad moments since it was plain fabulous. Moving on, the best part of this break so far was the fact that we were able to change what people drew of us as muslims, because some of the Muslims out there just draw and give bad impressions it annoys me all the time and actually embarrasses me as one. There was this pool manager who literally became our friend out of nowhere and he started getting close with us because he thought we were nice people, he actually started calling my mother his " adoptive mother" which is really nice and kind of out of the blue for a British young man. He was the one that actually made the days we spent back there worth remembering , he gave us moments to laugh and moments to play and moments to just sit and talk together. It was really nice! This guy actually took us seriously and respected our faith, through the process of us talking he was talking every word we took to heart, which does not happen all the time. I was just glad that he really started getting the clear picture or muslims and understood the quote that says " Take a look at your hands for a second, not all your fingers are the same although they come out of the same body " . Yet, you can not change the entire race for that matter, because you are the one that should change for a start, but still when someone gives the wrong impression you get affected by it in the end and it doesn't turn out very nice. The bottom line is I think that everyone out there should not judge an entire race, or an entire family, or an entire group for an action that came out of a single person, because as they taught us back in kinder garden that's not fair is it? You are who you are, and you are who you want to be. For that matter you are what you decide to be in the end.
I really thank sir Jason for all the effort he put into making the past few days worth the memory and for actually being our close new friend! I hope god blesses him with happiness and joy in the coming months till we meet again inshalla!
I feel really happy about the fact that I took sometime away from my studies and work and actually feel really excited and fresh about coming back home and getting some work done!
±±I just remembered the worst part of the trip, well not really the worst part but there was this ship ( the place we stay at is actually where a port is ) that was departing and something must've gone wrong because right after the beach was covered with oil and our feet could've been worth a millions if they were to be sold :-) But still that was not so bad, we were still allowed to crochet and chitchat on the beach so yes!±±
Up until the next post...BYE!
~Bliss
