August 17, 2014,

It took me a period of 3 days to fully watch “The Hobbit” and comprehend the entire story. I never thought I’d actually understand what was going on, but now that I’ve spent that much time although it wasn’t necessary I get it all.

Now I must say that it’s one interesting different story. Considering the fact that it was written a very long time ago, I find it quite impressive that the author was able to visualise and write about such marvelous world. I have to admit that I was blown away by the entire series, from “The Hobbit” to “The Lord of the rings”. Something about the plot, set and characters make me too attached to the movies, as for the books I think I’m going to challenge myself to at least read one of the books because I’m very curious as in terms of the language, and the writing in general. Part of it was written during WWII so that adds to the excitement and challenge to read one of the books.

I'd like to talk about the Goblins, Orcs and all the scary non-human creatures in the movie. The fact that they've come to life from the book is just breath-taking. Now I haven't read the book so I don't really know how they're described, but to bring them to life with each out standing out "in a scary manner" is amazing and that adds to the list of why this movie is worth it.

Moving on to Bilbo, god Bilbo Baggins, I just can't get him out of my head, Hobbits are really something!! I mean I remember the scene in the movie where all the Dwarfs pile up in his house back in the Shire, speaking of the Shire..I'm suddenly up for the LOTR marathon..this is not good!

One last note....don't you just LOVE the scene where "Bilbo" is running across the Shire and yells "I'm going on an adventure!"

Okay , I’ll meet you people in a few days with another review covering the 2nd part of “The Hobbit”

Cheers,
